About the albumEdit
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at Große Freiheit 36, a 1,600 capacity venue located on the North Side of Hamburg's Reeperbahn road in the St. Pauli quarter. This was the second of three shows performed in Germany on the tour.
After playing in North America, Italy and the Netherlands, the tour reached Germany and a city that provided residency for The Beatles in the 1960s.
After an orchestral sounding rendition of "The Chauffeur", the band played the first of two covers during the evening. These were The Doors' "Crystal Ship" and Iggy Pop's "Success", songs later recorded for the 1995 album Thank You.
