Girls On Film Remixes is an unofficial compilation album, featuring a collection of Duran Duran "Girls on Film" mixes taken from various albums, singles and bootlegs releases.
About the album[]
The album includes the 1979 Demo version recorded at Bob Lamb's Studios in Birmingham, UK. This demo version features John Taylor on guitar before he made his full transition to bass, recorded before Simon Le Bon and Andy Taylor joined the band. The track was sung by Andy Wickett, who wrote lyrics to the song while he worked the night shift at the nearby Cadbury's chocolate factory in Birmingham. He was later paid £600 to waiver his rights to any royalties.
The compilation also features a recording by Tall Paul, a British DJ whose other credits includes mixes for East 17, Erasure and Blondie.
