Funkface was an electronic dance duo, consisting of members Roger Taylor and Jake Roberts.
History[]
Roger Taylor formed Funkface with writer/producer Jake Roberts, who later worked on Duran Duran's Astronaut album contributing additional drum programming on "Nice" and "Want You More!". The duo released two dance 12" vinyl limited edition singles of only 1000 copies each, issued by Taylor's own RT Music label and sold through assorted website outlets.
Roger sights his influences stemming from long nights in New York’s infamous 80's dance clubs, such as Danceteria, The Limelight and Area, as well the Rum Runner nightclub, where Duran Duran were formed. The duo have Deejayed together at some of America’s most celebrated venues like Cielo, Body English, Webster Hall, House of Blues (Atlantic City), as well as a surprise set for a The Smashing Pumpkins post-concert party in Chicago.
