The album was marketed, manufactured and distributed by EMI. The compilation features sampler music from the German music video programme Formel Eins, which was broadcast on ARD from 1983 to 1990.

The record reached no.1 on the German charts and is the 5th album of a series of 49.

The compilation includes Duran Duran's "Save A Prayer". There is also a cover version of "I Can't Stand The Rain" by Tina Turner, a song originally released by Ann Peebles in 1973.
