Simon R. Fowler is a British photographer, whose work has included photographing Andy Taylor and the Power Station.

Biography[]

After studying photography and fine art at Amersham he began his photographic career with LFI (London Features) shooting pictures of the rich and famous for press syndication. It was there that he met fellow photographer Paul Cox, with whom he forged an omnipotent partnership in the early 1980s. In their Fulham studio the pair rubbed shoulders with the likes of Spandau Ballet, Iron Maiden, Boy George, David Cassidy, Meatloaf and others. The images created during these years were published in pop magazines such as Smash Hits.

Still based in London, Simon's portfolio includes hundreds of record and book covers, ad campaigns and theatre posters. His classical music work includes Placido Domingo, Lesley Garrett, Thomas Hampson, Nigel Kennedy and Sir Simon Rattle. He has also directed TV commercials and promo clips, particularly for some of his longest standing clients such as Sarah Brightman and Cecilia Bartoli.
