Live At The Manchester Apollo 1982 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Rio Tour at the Apollo Theatre in Manchester, UK on 6 November 1982.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Apollo Theatre, a 3,500 capacity venue located in Stockport Road, Ardwick Green. This was the seventh show of twenty seven dates performed in the UK on the tour.
Duran Duran launched the show with the title track to their new album Rio, a song which would later feature as one of the most played encores over the next 30 years.
All the songs performed on the album were originally produced by Colin Thurston, except for the cover version of Steve Harley's "Make Me Smile (Come Up and See Me)". This song would also be included during future encores, including the 2005 St Andrews show in Birmingham.
