Fiesta! is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during An Acoustic Evening Tour at the Vélez Sársfield Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 30 April 1993.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Vélez Sársfield Stadium, a 49,540 capacity venue which is home of the football club Vélez Sarsfield from the First Division. This was the second of four shows performed in Argentina during 1993.

Filmed for a TV broadcast in Argentina to celebrate Duran Duran's first tour in the country, around 50,000 people attended the concert.

Duran Duran took to the open air stage and began with an introduction from Simon Le Bon. He said "Hola amigos, buenas noches (Hello friends, good evening). We're gonna play a show, but first we gonna shoot some video. We have the honor of shooting it with you guys." Le Bon then introduced Brazilian artist Milton Nascimento.

The show soon got underway with "Breath After Breath", a song co-written by Milton Nascimento and played with an accompanying backing track.

After a 2nd take of "Breath After Breath", the band launched into a powerful acoustic version of their debut single "Planet Earth".

During the evening songs were performed as long instrumental versions, including "Come Undone" at 8:14 minutes. The next song was a cover version of The Doors' "Crystal Ship", which Duran Duran would later record for their 1995 album Thank You.

Before "The Wild Boys", Le Bon thanked God for stopping the rain. Duran Duran then closed the show with "Rio".
