Encomium: A Tribute To Led Zeppelin is a tribute album featuring Duran Duran, dedicated to Led Zeppelin and released by Atlantic Records on 14 March 1995.
About the album[]
The album is a collection of twelve Led Zeppelin cover songs, performed by various artists. The compilation includes Duran Duran's version of "Thank You", which featured on the With Honors soundtrack released in 1994.
Other contributing acts include Sheryl Crow with "D'yer Mak'er" and Tori Amos covering "Down by the Seaside". On the first version of this album, the Mexican Pop band Maná plays the first song of the disc, which is a Spanish version of "Fool in the Rain" (Page/Plant/Jones). A laserdisc version also available contains all thirteen tracks (including Maná) plus bonus interviews and behind the scenes footage.
