East Village Radio (10 December 2010) featured members of Duran Duran on Mark Ronson's Authentic Sh*t programme broadcast from Manhattan in New York City, USA.

About the show[]

The show was broadcast on East Village Radio, a free Internet radio station which broadcasts from a storefront studio in the East Village, New York. A crowd of approximately 700 people turned up to watch from the sidewalks.

Authentic Sh*t featured Simon Le Bon and Nick Rhodes spending two hours talking with Mark Ronson and answering questions submitted via Duran Duran on Twitter. The songs that were played included the world premiere of "The Man Who Stole A Leopard", which contained vocals from Nina Hossain and Kelis. During the show, Kelis telephoned in and talked about how honored she was to record vocals for "The Man Who Stole A Leopard". These vocals were recorded at her home in Los Angeles.

They also talked about All You Need Is Now with its angular and edgy style from Owen Pallett's strings. Le Bon said "Leave A Light On" was the most emotional to sing.

Nick said about touring "Yes, definitely next year, probably I suppose starting sometime in early February. Nothing solid yet, but I imagine it will include the United States". He also added that "Duran Duran have never been asked to play Glastonbury".
