EMI Demos, Old Grey Whistle Test, Off The Record is an unofficial live compilation album, featuring some of the earliest live recordings by Duran Duran.

About the album Edit

The album begins with live audio recordings from the British television show Old Grey Whistle Test. These songs were introduced by Annie Nightingale and aired on 7 July 1981.

The second part are from the Chichester Festival Theatre in Chichester, on 30 November 1981. The show was filmed by TVS and aired on Off the Record.

The last two tracks are claimed to be the original live demo recordings made at Bob Lamb's Birmingham studios for EMI in early 1980. This is impossible, as "My Own Way" wasn't even written until May 1981. These are actually just live recordings from late 1981, probably from The Careless Memories Tour.

The album features Duran Duran photography is by Michael Putland.
