Drum Sampler is a limited edition 9-track CD album featuring Simon Le Bon, released by the Fan Club in 2005.
About the album
Edit
The album was released to promote the 2005 DVD Drum - 20th Anniversary Edition, which is a documentary film following the incredible 8 month journey of the yacht Drum competing in the prestigious Whitbread Round the World Race. The Drum Sampler is the movie soundtrack and features "Grey Lady Of The Sea" performed by Simon Le Bon, a song he wrote from his sailing experiences specifically for the original movie 20 years ago called Drum - The Journey Of A Lifetime.
The CD also includes extra mixes by other contributing artists with interviews from Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes and people involved with the yacht race. The album was released in a jewel case containing front and back artwork, with the reverse including the lyrics to "Grey Lady Of The Sea".
