About the album
Edit
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Riverbend Music Center, a 20,500 capacity outdoor venue located along the banks of the Ohio River. This was the only show performed in the state of Ohio on the tour.
Terence Trent D'Arby launched the evening at 8:00pm, with a set that included covers of The Rolling Stones' "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and K.C. and the Sunshine Band's "Get Down Tonight".
The crowd erupted when Duran Duran burst onto the open air stage and kicked off with their debut single "Planet Earth". Two more songs from the 80s followed, including the Bond-movie theme "A View to a Kill".
Featuring original members Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes and John Taylor at the core, the band now included Warren Cuccurullo on guitar.
"Ordinary World", a song from the recently released Duran Duran album was introduced by Le Bon with a short speech. "Come Undone" was next, another new track and current single.
During the evening, "Notorious" included a short segment of "Sexy MF", a 1992 single by Prince and The New Power Generation.
Duran Duran closed the show with their US Billboard Hot 100 no.2 hit single "The Wild Boys", the only studio track on the live album Arena.
Tickets for the event cost around $25.00.
