Big Live Thing is an unofficial Duran Duran live DVD/CD 2-disc album, released in Finland by the DD Fan Club during 2006.
The CD was also released as a single disc version in 2006
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance during The Big Live Thing Tour, at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on 22 February 1989. The show was held at a 55,000 seat venue once known as The Egg, which opened in 1988 and is the largest concert hall in Japan.
The concert included a performance of "Maximum Big Surprise", which is a medley of "Election Day" and "Some Like It Hot". There were several changes from previous Big Live Thing shows, with the current single at the time "All She Wants Is" featuring as a longer remix version that lasted nine minutes and segued into the end choruses of "Planet Earth".
Other changes included a saxophone introduction to "A View to a Kill", and a new intro on "Is There Something I Should Know?".
