Berlin, Germany: 11-06-05 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Astronaut Tour at the Museumsinsel in Berlin, Germany on 11 June 2005.
About the album[]
The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Museumsinsel, a place located at a world cultural heritage site on a small island in the river Spree. This was the first of five German shows on the tour.
Lean and commanding Duran Duran took to the open air stage, surrounded by impressive looking buildings. They kicked off the show with "(Reach Up for The) Sunrise", the first single from the new album, Astronaut.
As the setlist unfolded, the band treated fans to songs from Rio, including "Save A Prayer" and the haunting "The Chauffeur".
The 2-hour set was balanced between hits, fan favorites, and new songs. Of the new songs, "Chains" and "What Happens Tomorrow" were played.
The evening finished with the encore of "Girls on Film" and "Rio". Band introductions featured during "Girls on Film", which included a member of the audience introducing Simon Le Bon.
The bootleg artwork incorporates an image of guitarist Andy Taylor, from the event poster and the Astronaut album cover.
Tickets for the event cost around €41,25.
