Belfast is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Strange Behaviour Tour at King's Hall in Belfast, North Ireland, UK on 23 April 1987.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at King's Hall, a 7,800 capacity venue located on Lisburn Road. This was the first of twelve shows performed in the UK on the tour.

American hip-hop and electro funk group Mantronix were schelduled as the opening act, but didn't appear.

Over seven years after Duran Duran's first show at Belfast's Ulster Hall on 14 November 1980, the band returned to the city and kicked off with their Bond-movie theme "A View to a Kill".

The trio of Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes, performing with an expanded line-up of horns and percussion, gave their songs a greater textural depth.

They played a selection of songs from their new album Notorious, alongside hits including "Is There Something I Should Know?" and "Hungry Like the Wolf".

The show climaxed in the encore with "The Wild Boys", followed by a performance of the band's most successful single "The Reflex".

There was a large circulation of this bootleg in the 1980s, which contains an excellent audience quality recording.

Tickets for the event cost around £12.50.

Duran Duran would next return to Belfast almost 17 years later to perform the Odyssey Arena show on 7 April 2004, during The Reunion Tour.
