An Acoustic Set In Rome 93 is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during An Acoustic Evening Tour at the Teatro Palladium in Rome, Italy, on 20 February 1993.

About the album[]

The album is a complete recording of Duran Duran's performance at the Teatro Palladium, a venue built in 1927 that's located at Piazza Bartolomeo Romano. This was the first of two shows performed in Italy on the tour.

Taking to the stage at 9:00pm for the first European show of the tour, Duran Duran kicked off with their debut single "Planet Earth". Backed by a string section, the band continued their first concert in Rome since 1988 with "Hungry Like the Wolf".

Held three days before the release of The Wedding Album, the show featured a selection of songs from the new album. This included the first ever live performance of "UMF", a song co-produced by John Jones.

During the evening, Duran Duran played "Crystal Ship" and "Success", two cover songs which would feature on the 1995 album Thank You.

Tickets for the event cost around 35,000 lira.
