AIR Studios is a professional audio recording studio. They are best known for their facility in Central London, founded in 1969 by Beatles producer George Martin. The company also once had another recording studio on the Caribbean island of Montserrat, which was completed in 1979.

Duran Duran was sent to the Montserrat studio by EMI for several weeks in May and June of 1983 during the writing and recording of the Seven and the Ragged Tiger album. The label hoped to get more progress from the band away from the parties and distractions of Cannes, but they were unhappy on the isolated island. Nick Rhodes ended up suffering from a bout of paroxysmal tachycardia (rapid heartbeat) while there, and had to be airlifted to a hospital. Soon after, the recording of the album was moved to 301 Studios in Sydney, Australia.

The Montserrat facility was destroyed by Hurricane Hugo in 1989.
