2nd Night In Las Vegas is an unofficial Duran Duran live album, recorded during The Pop Trash Tour at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, NV, USA on 26 August 2000.

About the albumEdit

The album is a recording of Duran Duran's performance at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, a 1,800 capacity venue located inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Resort at 3950 Las Vegas Blvd. This was the second of two shows performed in the state of Nevada on the tour.

Doors opened at 7:00pm and with no support act, Duran Duran took to the intimate stage at 8:00pm in darkness. A sudden burst of stage lighting signalled the start of the show.

Wasting no time, the band powered into "Last Day on Earth", a rock song featuring lyrics originally written for the Bond-movie Tomorrow Never Dies.

During the evening, Simon Le Bon entertained fans with his expressive gestures and theatrical moves. The singer donned sunglasses and launched into Elvis-like moves for "Hallucinating Elvis".

After a short break near the end of the show, Duran Duran played a two minute cover version of Lou Reed's "Sweet Jane". The song was performed with Nick Rhodes on guitar, who walked out on stage and picked up Warren's instrument. Warren played keyboards and the rest of the band joined in. Several minutes into the track, Rhodes stopped and Simon Le Bon said "Keep it going" to no avail.

Tickets for the event cost around $65.00
