1979 Demo is a demo album by Duran Duran. The album, recorded before John Taylor made a full transition to bass and before members Andy Taylor and Simon Le Bon joined the band.

The songs on the album were recorded in 1979 at "Bob Lamb's studios in Moseley Birmingham (UK) with artwork by John Taylor for a demo the band shopped around to various labels. Included in the album is an early version of Girls on Film as well as See Me Repeat Me, which became Rio through extensive rewriting after Simon joined the band.
